PM Kisan 21st Installment: When It Will Be Available, Who Can Get It, and How to Check the Status

Farmers all throughout India are looking forward to the 21st payment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The PM Kisan program gives small and marginal farmers ₹6,000 a year in three equal payments of ₹2,000 each. It is still a very important source of money for millions of people.

Over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women, benefited from the 20th installment of PM Kisan, which came out in August 2025. This payment was a little late, coming out in June instead of when it was supposed to, but it made a big difference for farmers.

Date of Release for PM Kisan 21st Installment

Reports in the news say that the 21st installment of PM-KISAN will be credited in the first half of November 2025. Farmers are hoping that the payout will come in early November, after the scheme’s four-month cycle, even though the formal release date has not yet been set.

The timing also happens to be the same as the Bihar Assembly elections, which will be held on November 6 and 11, with counting on November 14. The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) says that new schemes can’t be announced during elections. However, experts say that existing welfare payments like PM-KISAN can still be made without breaking the regulations.

Some states allow early release

The administration has already sent out the 21st payment under the PM Kisan to a number of states that were hit by floods and landslides. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave farmers in Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh their payments on September 26. The payments were focused on farmers who had been affected by natural catastrophes.

On October 7, 2025, farmers in Jammu and Kashmir also got advance payments. ₹171 crore was sent straight to the bank accounts of 8.55 lakh recipients, including 85,000 women farmers. Farmers in the Union Territory have gotten a total of ₹4,052 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme so far.

These advance payments were given to help farmers get back to farming and make up for losses caused by the floods.

About the Prime Minister The Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme

Piyush Goyal, who was then the Finance Minister, unveiled the PM-KISAN initiative in the Interim Budget of 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started it. Now, it is known as the largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program in the world.

This program says:

Every four months, farmers who qualify get ₹2,000, which adds up to ₹6,000 a year.

There are three cycles of payments:

April to July

August to November

December to March

The money goes straight to the bank accounts of the people who are supposed to get it, which are connected to Aadhaar.

Who is Eligible for PM-KISAN?

To receive benefits under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must meet the following eligibility criteria:

e-KYC is Mandatory for PM-KISAN Beneficiaries

As per the official PM-KISAN website, “eKYC is mandatory for all registered farmers.”
There are two ways to complete e-KYC:
